80s Casual drops ‘Volume 2’, a follow up to his ‘Volume 1’ EP released last July, a short sultry collection of cinematic, worldly feel good Trip Hop instrumental beats. First for this Spanish resident is ‘Malaga to Manila’ a savory tune grooving at 100BPM with acoustic guitar riffs and solos, staccato-ing trumpets, suave sax notes, and dreamy female vocal samples. ‘Siesta’ evokes sweltering desert visions with a full subtle bass, short light notes and melodic percussions for a tantalizing rhythm and lucid mood. Following is ‘Coco Loco’ lathered with thick, deep, dark bass wobbles, laid back tropical rhythms, percussions and a treading snare and beat at 70BPM. Ending the album is the faster paced ‘Flying Saucer’ a Jazzy Jungle and Break Beat influenced tune with soft bouncy bass, playful drums, bleeping electronics and diva vocal snippets. A joyful 5-track EP with imaginative and diverse sounds ‘Volume 2’ from Malaga’s 80s Casual conveys a warm and receptive vibe.
