Nick Tremo releases a swanky and sweltering full length Trip Hop album of fresh instrumentals keenly attentive to the apt and creative manipulation of sounds. ‘4 Hands’ starts it off with a sonorous palette of sound snippets and steady upbeat drums at about 95 BPM, a sweet cymbal and an innovative rhythm. Following is ‘Mira’ with string samples sweetly purring over a chill beat, a friendly soft bass and children vocal sound fragment for a light and interesting touch. ‘Light Drums’ is wildly creative with a dope Hip Hop instrumental beat, the light Jazz sounds of a sax, flute and melodic synth samples creating a nice daze, the drums playful and free. ‘Green’ is a fly tune with a bumping kick drum and snare, and wonky yet pleasing with string samples and grooving organic sounding bass. ‘K Street’ rocks it with more inspired round Jazz bass, steady drums that are occasionally affected on beat and on time for a dazzling effect, repeated and glitchy with a suave rhythm. Ending nicely with ‘Stripes’ is a regal vintage melody, sweet loops, light keys and a solid relaxed beat. Certainly evoking a sense of the artist’s nostalgia and emotions through his music, the sounds from this album shared are truly gratifying.
